Receptionists
Nicole studied Zoology, Psychology and Classical
Civilisations at Rhodes University and
graduated in 2012.
She then went on to complete a course in
conservation and thereafter gained
experience through volunteer work and also did
proof-reading for MA students on the
side.
Nicole joined us in 2014 as a veterinary
receptionist. Nicole has a keen interest in
archery, pistol shooting and clay sculpting. She is currently in the process of
re-entering the academic community and has
applied
to Onderstepoort with the intention to study
veterinary nursing.
In 2018 Jeannine completed a BSc degree in Zoology and Biochemistry. In 2019 she obtained
her honours in Zoology at the North West University.
She then gained experience as a volunteer working
with several different animals including cheetahs, rhinos, caracals, servals, genets,
hedgehogs, tortoises and many bird and mammal species, before joining our team in 2021.
Jeannine has a
love for bunnies and has many of her own.
Her hobbies include spending time with friends and
family. She loves the outdoors and participating in all sorts of outdoor activities.
Jess spent the past decade moving between South Africa and Europe for both work and
travel.
She has a degree in Communication Sciences and an extensive background in
hospitality. Jess
is an avid reader, amateur birdwatcher and a full time mom to four fur-monsters – two bull
terrier X Jack Russells: Esbie & Otis, and two rescue kitties: Frank and Gracie.
She joined our team in 2021 as a veterinary receptionist.
Nadia matriculated in 2013 after which she took a gap year to further her love of horse
riding. She has worked for a number of years in a frontline position within the veterinary
industry. Nadia joined our reception team in May 2022.
She absolutely adores animals and has a horse, four cats and two dogs of her own.
Nadia’s favourite thing is to spend her free time at the stables,
take her dogs for walks and go on adventures with her husband.
Tristan joined our team in 2016 as a part-time student receptionist on both the veterinary
and retail side. In 2022, he completed his honours in Zoology and Industrial Microbiology.
He
endeavours to continue research in the field of herpetology.
Currently his research interest lies in applying powerful machine learning techniques in the
field
of South African reptile and amphibian ecology and conservation. Tristan’s passion lies with
chemistry,
computers, reptiles and amphibians and particularly field work.
His home is filled with a diverse array of creatures and he likes to collect and cultivate
rare
indigenous succulents. Tristan plans to publish a collaborative project in 2022 about horned
adder ecology.
